Pint Size Pooches is a playgroup for tiny dogs focusing on off-leash socialization and fun in a safe environment. We meet once a month at different locations in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area.

All dogs must weigh 15 pounds or less full-grown to attend our events. Our meetups are a great time for pooches and pet owners alike and we’d love to have you join us.

Openings for each event are limited and members must sign up through Meetup.com. There is typically a waitlist for each event.

For the safety of our tiny-size dogs—some are under three pounds—children under 15 are not permitted.

Events

We meet monthly for 60-90 minutes at fully-enclosed, dog-friendly, private indoor venues and private, fully-fenced outdoor venues in summer.

Sign-up for each event is through meetup.com/PintSizePooches and is posted approximately two weeks prior to each event.

Winter: Oct. – May winter meetups we are at Twin City Obedience Training Center (TCOTC), 2101 Broadway St. N.E., Minneapolis, MN 55413, usually 12:30-2:00, on Saturdays, and occasionally at Canine Coach in Columbia Heights on Sundays.

Summer: June – Sept. summer outdoor meetups are at a private, fenced, tree-shaded property in Eagan near Ridgecliff Park at 35E and Cliff Rd, usually 11:30-1:00 on Sundays.

Fees

Event admission fees are payable at the door in cash or in advance with Venmo (@PintSizePooches). Credit cards are not accepted at this time.

$10 for the first family dog

$5 for each additional family dog living in the same household

Sign up

Registered members can sign up for events at meetup.com/PintSizePooches. These events fill fast! Be sure to get on the waitlist if the “going” list is full as there are a lot of schedule changes right before the event.

A member may bring a maximum of one other person (age 15 or older) as a guest. However the guest may not bring their dog. Note in Meetup.com that “guests” are people, not pets, just select +1 at sign-up to bring an additional person. If your guest wants to bring their dog they must sign up separately on meetup.com as a member. Then you would both sign up for specific meetups individually.

No-Show Policy

We know that plans can change. Members who are unable to attend must change their attendance status from “going” to “not going” in Meetup.com at least 24 hours prior to an event to allow time for people on the waitlist to take their place.

Our events are very popular, fill fast, and often have a waitlist, so we ask members to honor their RSVP. While we appreciate that things come up, members who are frequent no-shows will be suspended or have their memberships cancelled.

Become a Member

Membership is free but must be approved by a moderator. You must qualify for all of the following:

  • The adult size of your dog(s) must be 15 pounds or less. Large breed puppies are not allowed.
  • Your dog(s) must be current on all vaccinations, and not be showing signs of communicable disease (e.g. kennel cough) on the day of an event.
  • Your dog(s) must not exhibit aggression, or have any bite or aggression history. (If your dog is reactive, please work with a professional dog trainer or behaviorist.) Our meetups are for dogs who are comfortable socializing with strange people and dogs in a dog park type of social setting.
